What this page covers

PiFinder EU runs this shop. This page says what the shop keeps about you, why it keeps it, and for how long.

What you give us when you order

Your name, your e-mail address and your delivery address. We need them to send the goods, to write the invoice and to answer you about the order.

We keep an order for seven years. Belgian law requires that for the bookkeeping.

Who else sees your order

The carrier, bpost or PostNL, gets the delivery address, because somebody has to carry the parcel.

If you pay by card, Stripe handles the payment. We never see your card number. If you pay by bank transfer, our bank sees the transfer.

Our mail server sends the confirmation to your e-mail address.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data and we do not advertise with it.

The cookie

The shop sets one cookie, named session_. It remembers what is in your cart and how far you are through the checkout. Without it the shop cannot work, so there is no banner asking you to accept it.

The cookie lasts 30 days. It holds a random number, not your name. Once you place an order, your address is taken out of it again.

The shop loads no fonts, no scripts and no pictures from anybody else, so no other company can follow you here.

How we count visits

We count how often each page is drawn, and how many different people come each day. This tells us whether the shop works, nothing more.

To tell two visitors apart for one day we mix your address and your browser name with a secret and the date, and keep only the result of that calculation. It cannot be turned back into your address, and the next day the same visitor gets a different result. We never store your address itself.

These counts are kept for about 13 months.

Carts that never became an order

If you put something in the cart and do not buy it, we keep what was in the cart, what it was worth, and when you last touched it. It helps us see which products people drop.

There is no name and no e-mail address in that record, so we cannot write to you about it, and we do not. It is deleted after six months.

What you can ask us to do

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@pifinder.eu and we answer within a month.

An order we must keep for the bookkeeping is the one thing we cannot delete on request.

If you think we handle your data badly, you may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
